Hurray! A commisson and a gift are done! I am taking suggestions again for other pieces to do in between projects. In very good news, my daughter seems to be over her virus. My husband and I may both have it now, though!
Wow what a week! Not much new with my commissions, chugging along well on those. My 9 month old daughter has kept me on my toes though! She recently learned how to crawl and pull herself to her feet, which has been a joy to watch. My husband and I were both there to see her first crawl, too! Now she is spending her nap time exploring her crib and refusing to sleep. I can't blame her, mama just wants to see and feel and visit everything too!
We went out on the town and found a wonderful local shop to produce prints for Whosits Galore. If you are ever in Winter Haven, Art and Framing on the Park are amazing! To round out the week, my daughter got sick and we are still unsure what it is. Her fever is under control, and she is acting like herself again, but it was the first time she has been sick so little sleep was had in the Hoak household. I plan to draw a surprise for a family member over the weekend, since I need some creative space from my current projects. Have you ever felt stuck on something, a puzzle perhaps, then walk away for a bit only to see the solution as soon as you return? That will be me this weekend! Working on a few commissons this week, planning for future works, and researching how to de-rust old milk bottles. I have also been browsing a few local art shows in the area, and am making plans to start in on the action. Details will come on show schedules here first, once Whosits Galore is ready!
Finished last night! Hope I did the Doctor proud. I am having trouble getting a faithful scan done, but once I figure that out, it will go up for sale as a print and perhaps an iPhone or iPad cover.
Latest Work in Progress that will make you want to hop in the Tardis to give the Doctor a hug! Next progress pic by the end of the day.
